    I told my friends that there was a Fuccon restaurant in Japan a few years ago. Thanks Wikipedia. Funny show though. Most people I have shown it to quite like it.

    I think the comparison to British humour is spot on, and applies to a number of Japanese comedies. There's definitely a shared love of the absurd, the dry, the scatological and appalling word play that I'm not sure there is to the same extent between the US and Japan.

    Also our musical hall traditions lasted a lot longer through TV than vaudeville did in the US, so anyone who remembers Morecombe and Wise (and British culture as a whole won't let you forget) should be able to relate to manzai.

    So of course, in their infinite wisdom, ADV didn't bother releasing the Fuccons in UK.
