If you were wondering where I've been, this past weekend has been all New York Comic Con, all the time. NYCC has grown very impressively large. While there's only some material expressly aimed at otaku, if you're any kind of a nerd at all, there was probably something for you to do all day at the con. I actually found myself with more to do there than I have at New York Anime Fest, an event specifically targeted at 14-year-old girls my particular fandom.
A con report is likely, but it won't be terribly exciting because the only really good story is already up on Colony Drop. Big ups to all the anime bloggers I hung out with: dinner at the Tick Tock and King Gainer/Boyz II Men karaoke were the highlights of my weekend. In other news, I'll be getting back on the wagon with this blog in the coming weeks, promise! I've got quite a bit of interesting anime and manga material waiting in the wings, and keep watching Colony Drop for the 80's stuff: I've got quite a queue of 80s anime lined up on my DVD shelf and all those reviews are going straight there.
